How to Guide to Meeting Your Soul Mate

For most people, meeting your soul mate is a lifelong dream worth pursuing. You desire to have that special connection with someone who can finish your sentences, be your best friend, your confidante, and of course, your lover. Here are some tips for meeting your soul mate if you haven’t found that particular someone yet.

1) You will find your soul mate when you least expect it. The more blind dates you go on set up by your friends, the more disappointed you will be. One day you will be in the grocery store and you’ll accidentally run your cart into your soul mate. Fate works that way.

2) Be happy with yourself. If you don’t love yourself the way you are, how can you expect someone else to love you back? If you are depressed all the time, go see a doctor–they can prescribe medications to help you. If you are unhappy with your job, consider your options. You have to be happy with yourself first before you can bring someone else into your life.

3) Be open-minded. You probably have this fantasy image of your soul mate conjured up in your head: a person with perfect teeth, a great job, no baggage. In reality, there is no such thing as perfect. You aren’t perfect so don’t expect the person of your dreams to be perfect either. That is what fairy tales are for. Everyone has flaws and true love looks beyond the flaws and loves the person anyway.

4) Be careful. In today’s world, you can never be too careful. It seems everywhere you turn someone is trying to scam you on the internet or steal your identity. If you are meeting someone for the first time that you have met over the internet, make sure that you meet in a public place. Do not give the person your home address or any personal information about yourself until you can make sure about the person’s intentions.

5) Be patient. You will find your soul mate in due course. Don’t make it the number one priority of your day. Go out and enjoy life: hang out with your friends, join a club, learn a new skill or hobby, or volunteer for a nonprofit organization. If you keep busy, meeting new people, and having fun, you will be a happier person and you will attract more people.

Do You Hurt Your Chances with Unnecessary “Rules”?

I was reviewing some of my old articles from when I first started this site back in 2007 and decided to bring up some of the “forgotten” articles.

In this case I wanted to talk about a belief that many people hold true that can hurt their online dating experience: limiting themselves to dating a single person at a time. /> />

/> Many of the people that follow this rule will, from the very beginning, be very careful to only speak with and then date one person at a time. Other times it seems to work in reverse: once they start talking to someone they then decide that this person is the only one they will speak to (I see this more often with my female readers).

In one of my first articles I ever wrote I argue why this is a bad way to approach online dating. Now I used this approach myself so I know exactly how bad it can work. In this article I compare my experience of dating one person at a time to my later days of dating many at once. You can read all about my experiences here:

Dating Multiple People (And Why You Should Be Doing It)

I understand why many of us want to approach online dating this way. For many it’s the romantic aspect of finding that one. For others, it is the fact that the old style of dating (offline) worked in such a way that most of us would only ever be dating one person at a time. Or if we met someone at the bar, we wouldn’t turn around and immediately try to meet someone else further down the bar. For many it’s just about being honest.

I understand these thoughts and even held many of them to be true myself for a long time. But now, having had success with the opposite approach, I would encourage everyone who holds this approach to be the “best” way to meet someone online to consider just how wrong they could be. As I discuss in my article, it isn’t just about odds! There are so many benefits many of us rarely consider from taking a new approach.

Benefits of Jewish Single Dating Sites – Finding Dates Who Share Your Faith

The internet has created much-needed opportunities in the world of dating. Meeting people in real life does not work for everyone, and has huge drawbacks that online dating services easily correct. Many who would prefer to find places to meet singles without use of the internet are stymied. Where do you go seeking? How do you catch the eye of anyone interesting there? These are just the first two questions in a storm of uncertainties. The matter becomes more difficult if you are looking for someone who shares particular beliefs with you or belongs to the same religion you do. The answer to this lies in niche dating sites, such as Jewish single dating sites.

Importance of Faith in Dating

Finding a date who shares your faith, regardless of your church or creed, has many benefits. For one, if you both grew up in that tradition, you will share a background of traditions and similar experiences. A more important point is that you will almost certainly have a basic moral code in common. Your expectations will be based upon the same beliefs, and you will have similar ideals. Some criticize judging potential dates based on faith as a matter of a closed mind. This is far from true – it is simply a way to find a potential mate most compatible with you.

The Question of Faith

If you are a Jew who at least casually observes the traditions, finding an intriguing single who shares your beliefs is just hard. The question does not come up easily in conversation on a first meeting, whether at a bar or at a coffee shop, in a park or browsing at a hobby store. Many television shows have portrayed attempts to work it in, with comedic effects: even if the characters are only looking for a Jewish counterpart to please their mothers, it tends to come off as awkward. If you are a more fervent adherent to your religion, the question of a potential mate’s faith becomes both more important and more delicate. Unless you meet that person at a service or temple sponsored event, how can you possibly know?

How the Internet Helps

Jewish single dating sites take away that question, and let you browse the profiles of other users to look for other traits you look for in seeking your other half. Not only do you start with one of your core questions answered – does he or she share my faith? – but you can also sort through potential dates according to their habits and interests, profession and quirks. Sites that require subscriptions also take away many of the concerns of internet dating, often providing security for first communications and ensuring that the other party is as serious in the search as you are.
